God,
Grant Loved One the serenity to stop beating Loved One up for not doing things perfectly;
the courage for them to forgive Loved One, because Loved One is working on doing better;
and the wisdom to know You already love them just the way Loved One is.
Helping Loved One live one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to their inner peace.
Taking, as You did, this sinful person just as Loved One is,
which is better than before, yet not as good as they will be.
Trusting that You will make all things right upon their surrender to Your will;
That Loved One may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
